SUMMER CAMP
Snails & Turkey Tails offers immersive summer nature camps in Marin County for children ages 3–5. Our play-based program weaves together outdoor exploration, forest and beach adventures, and hands-on learning to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a deep connection to the natural world.
Each day unfolds with a gentle rhythm of hiking, free play, creative projects, and imaginative discovery. Campers might spend the morning searching for crabs along the shoreline, building fairy homes in the forest, or mixing potions in a mud kitchen—no two days are ever the same.
CAMP DETAILS
Join us for week-long sessions, Monday through Friday, from June through August. Families are welcome to enroll in multiple weeks, with each week offering new experiences, seasonal discoveries, and fresh adventures.

OUR LOCATIONS
Snails & Turkey Tails offers summer camp at both China Camp State Park and Lake Lagunitas throughout all 12 weeks of our summer season. With a dedicated teaching team at each location, we are able to welcome campers at both sites every week.
Each location offers its own unique landscape and opportunities for exploration. At China Camp, campers can discover the shoreline, tide pools, trails, and coastal environment. At Lake Lagunitas, the forest, lake, and surrounding trails become a natural classroom for adventure and imaginative play.
While the landscape changes from one location to the other, the heart of our camp remains the same: connection, play, curiosity, and plenty of time outdoors.
OUR TEACHING TEAMS
We have a dedicated teaching team at each of our two locations. Each team includes an Early Childhood Educator, an experienced Camp Counselor, and a Counselor-in-Training (CIT).
Our small, consistent teams create a warm and supportive environment where young campers can feel comfortable, build confidence, and develop meaningful connections with their teachers and peers.
