Hi, I'm Liesha!
"Before we ever put a pencil in a child's hands, those hands should dig, climb, press, pull, squish, twist and pinch a wide array of environments and a wide variety of materials."
- Amanda Morgan
My name is Liesha Eberst and I am the Program Director and Lead Teacher at Snails & Turkey Tails! I am a certified early childhood educator, excited to be embarking on a journey of creating a unique and enriching early childhood experience that connects young children with nature. Fun Fact: I'm also a Mom with an amazing 16 year old daughter!

My passion for education began in my tween years, as a Girl Scout, when I created an in-home summer camp for young children in my neighborhood. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where I have many happy memories of playing in the snow, building forts and hideouts. My grandparents were farmers in Indiana and I spent my summers running through cornfields and playing with the barn cats.

When I went off to college, I attended The Art Institute and graduated with a design degree and I opened my own decorative painting business, working with local interior designers to create unique wall treatments and murals.

When I became a mother I decided to create a business where I could be of service to my community and also take my daughter to work with me on occasion. In 2010 I became a professional dog walker and spent my days hiking the beautiful trails of Marin County, CA. In addition to walking dogs, I also taught art and science classes and camps at places like The Bay Area Discovery Museum, WildCare and Outschool.
Now that my daughter is a teen, I'm realizing a long time dream of becoming a nature-based preschool teacher! I have a true passion for working with young children and believe that nature is the best teacher.

I look forward to meeting you and your family!
